Whether you’re experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness or finding it difficult to make ends meet, services throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are here to help. Below, you’ll find a guide to food and community support that’s available throughout May.
Boscombe
Monday – Saturday, 10am – 2pm. 10am breakfast & 12.30pm. Hot lunch indoors. Limited space. Support with food, clothing, benefit enquiries, telephone calls, referrals and mail. No food bags provided. Venue: BH1 Project, 107 Palmerston Road, Boscombe, BH1 4HP. Tel: 01202 393453 or 07837 363712.
Bournemouth
Monday eve, 5.30 – 6pm. For people experiencing homelessness and those in temporary accommodation only. Sit down meal inside. Showers and footcare available from 4.30pm. Venue: Salvation Army, 1 Latimer Road, Winton, BH9 1JY. Tel: 01202 517989.
Tuesday lunch, 11.45am – 1.30pm Hot sit down lunch. Stop serving hot food at 1pm. Help with clothing, referrals, conversations and support. Venue: In Touch, Lansdowne Church, Lansdowne Road, BH1 1SB. Tel: 01202 297977.
Tuesday eve, 7.30 – 8.30pm. Food, toiletries, care parcels, hot/cold drinks, clothing, sleeping bags, first aid and advice. Venue: bottom of Richmond Hill, Helping Hands. Email: Chelle_helpinghands@yahoo.com.
Wednesday eve, 6 – 6.30pm. Hot take-away dinner. Venue: Citygate Church (side entrance) BH8. Supported by Father’s House.
Thursday eve, 6.30 – 7pm. Hot take-away dinner, soup, sandwiches and cake. Help with clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags/duvets etc. Venue: Hope for Food, outside St Stephen’s Church Hall, St Stephens Way, BH2 6JZ.
Friday lunch, 11.45am – 1.30pm. Hot sit down lunch. Stop serving hot food at 1pm. Help with clothing, referrals, conversations and support. Venue: In Touch, Lansdowne Church, Lansdowne Road, BH1 1SB. Tel: 01202 297977.
Saturday & Sunday, 2pm. Provision of hot meals. Venue: We are Humans, Bournemouth Town Centre, in layby opposite Boots the Chemist.
Sunday lunch, 12.45pm. Sandwiches and cold drink, plus general support. Venue: Cotlands Road Car Park (opposite Job Centre), Father’s House Team.
Sunday evening: 6 – 7pm. Hot take-away dinner, soup, sandwiches, cake and street vet available. Help with clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags/duvets etc. Venue: Hope for Food, in the Hall at St Andrews United Reformed Church, 8 St Stephen’s Rd, BH2 6JJ.
Christchurch
Wednesday, 5.30pm. Hot food, essential services and support delivered. Community Supper – must book by calling 07587 371088 or email christchurchfoodbank@gmail.com. Venue: Christchurch Foodbank.
Monday to Thursday & Saturday, 6-7pm. Hot food, clothing, bedding and essential services. Friday 12pm -1pm by referral only. Venue: Christchurch Support Kabin, 58 Bargates BH23 1QL. Tel: 07772 373364.
